ABOUT CHAIRMAN FRED MOSES

Chairman Fred Moses is a native of South Carolina. He attended high school and college in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Fred has been married to his wife, Mazzie, for 40 years. They have 2 children, Michelle and Frederic, and 3 grandchildren, Taylor, Tylre and Jessica.
In June of 1980, Fred moved to Plano, Texas from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and founded Telecom Electric Supply Company in 1985 where he serves as President and Chief Executive Officer. Under the leadership and guidance of Fred Moses, Telecom Electric has surpassed 24 years of operation.
Fred has an Associate of Science degree in Business Management from Housatonic Community College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the University of Bridgeport in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He completed the Advanced Management Education Program from the Kellogg School of Management in July 2007.
General Electric Supply Company was the foundation for his business experience, where he was a graduate of the General Electric Company Financial Management Program. He worked in various positions in financial management during his 11 year career with GE.
Fred’s leadership has been recognized by the Dallas Business Journal and he was also featured in Black Enterprise, a national magazine. He is the recipient of the Gladys Harrington Precinct Chair of the Year, the CEO Institute’s Christian Business Leadership Award, the Outstanding Texan Award from Texas Legislative Black Caucus. Fred has also served as Past Chairman of the Plano Chamber of Commerce and Past President of the Collin County Republican Men’s Club.
In 2006 Fred Moses was honored with the Collin College Living Legend award. This recognition is given to those that have profoundly impacted Collin College and the Collin County community. These honorees are selected based also on how their life reflects the College’s core values – Learning, Service and Involvement, Creativity and Innovation, Academic Excellence, Dignity and Respect, and Integrity.
